He was a great man, a great actor, a great speaker, a father and a mentor and acting was his passion. Nollywood veteran actor Enebeli Elebuwa passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in an Indian hospital where he was receiving treatment after suffering from a stroke last year.
He will be greatly missed by family, friends, colleagues and the Nollywood community at large.
Enebeli Elebuwa hailed from Delta State, Nigeria. After losing his father at a tender age he moved over to Lagos to seek greener pastures. He started acting in 1967 in the soap opera ‘Mirror in the Sun,’ then went on to star as a police officer in ‘Village Headmaster’ a very popular soap opera. His first starring role in a film was ‘Dinner with the Devil’ which was celluloid film produced by Sanya Dosumu in 1974. His first big role in Nollywood as we know it today was in 1996 in cult classic Domitilla.
Rest In Peace Enebeli Elebuwa
